East Savannah Community Service Scholarship
The Coffee Foundation is proud to announce the Tony Walker East Savannah Community Service Scholarship. Mr. Tony Walker is the late father of our founder Daphne Coffee Roberts.
Dedicated to serving his community, Mr. Walker was born and raised in the heart of East Savannah located in Savannah, Ga. Loving the atmosphere in which he was raised, Mr. Walker moved back to his beloved community to raise his family with his wife Janice E. Walker, who preceded him in death. They both served proudly on the East Savannah Community Association board.
Mr. Walker’s audio-electronics shop was a staple in the community where many gathered for Mr. Walker to install quality sound into their vehicles.
Along with other residents, Mr. Walker logged countless hours of community service cleaning and reviving the landscape of the East Savannah Community Cemetery.
This scholarship of $250 is given in honor of his commitment to serving his community. It will be awarded to the students who logs 100 hours of community service in the East Savannah Community. Applicants must:
Be an active member/mentee of the Coffee Foundation
Be between the ages of 13 and 21
Prove that they are currently enrolled in school or an educational program.
Prove 100+ hours of community service or volunteering for a particular cause.
Produce a video essay explaining what service you completed and why.

Eligible applicants will be assessed based on the following criteria:
How creatively and clearly an applicant can articulate his or her experience through the video
The level of significance and impact of an applicant’s service to the community
Academic enrollment

Scholarship Overview
The Coffee Foundation proudly offers a $250 scholarship to deserving youth enrolled in our mentorship programs. This award recognizes commitment, growth, and leadership in students who are building a foundation for their future.
Eligibility & Requirements
· Must be actively enrolled as a mentee in The Coffee Foundation for at least one full school term (minimum 3–4 months).
· Must attend a minimum of one mentor/mentee meeting per month.
· Maintain at least 80% participation in all scheduled workshops, leadership sessions, or C.O.R.E. programming.
· Attend at least two community service or outreach events that The Coffee Foundation hosts.
· Submit a 1-page essay, video, or creative project reflecting personal growth, future goals, or key takeaways from mentorship.
· Youth ages 12–15 may submit a drawing, story, or voice recording instead.
· Submit one recommendation letter from a mentor, teacher, or community leader.
· No major disciplinary incidents at school or within the mentorship program during the scholarship term.
· Signed parental/guardian consent form (for minors).
· The recipient must commit to volunteer at one future Coffee Foundation event to give back.
